Pete Winn - Founder
Pete has over 30 years’ experience as a coach winning 8 national championships at senior level including a Grand Slam with the Whitley Bay Warriors before moving into youth hockey developing regional and community programs for several top junior clubs.
Pete has attended and coached at several IIHF coaching symposiums and high-performance camps across Europe. Internationally he was part of the England National Team Program as the head coach of the U15, U17, and U19 teams and was selected to represent Great Britain at the IIHF Junior world championships with the U18s.
Pete has over 15 years’ experience as a coach educator, during this time he has helped to develop hundreds of coaches at all levels delivering levels 1,2, and 3 courses and was promoted to the position of Technical Director of coaching for the English Ice hockey Association.
Pete has successfully transitioned from ice to inline puck and skater hockey with the creation of the AHDUK Dodgers ice and Inline Hockey Academy in 2017. With the success of this program Pete was appointed as the head coach for BISHA GB U19 team in January 2022 where he guided them to their first gold medal winning the 2022 IISHF European Championships held in Bordon.

Pete and I founded Advanced Hockey Development UK in 2011. We have worked hard to identify opportunities that will make a huge contribution towards the development of Coaches and Players wanting to advance their current skills and knowledge of Hockey.
Pete has delivered bespoke Hockey development programs to the Army, RAF, EIHA Clubs, BISHA, BRHA and organisations throughout the UK, where he and our team have received excellent feedback. We have a tremendous team of experienced and dedicated coaches who share our vision, and we are fortunate to have them on-board.
Pete’s 30 years’ skills and experience range from Learn to Play to Advanced and Elite programmes, whereas my strengths and experience comes from 35 years’ in Customer Service and Business Administration. Together, we use of our core strengths to oversee design, marketing and all business decisions for Advanced Hockey Development UK; ensuring all decisions made will deliver the on the rink and classroom experience for our players and coaches, together with a high-quality customer experience you will remember.
